The best weekend :)

We had such a great time this past holiday weekend! We hosted a very casual 4th of July pool party here at the house and then we headed over to my brother's house to watch the fireworks from his backyard.

Then I decided to take Monday off too (why not right?) because Matt had it off and we took K down to the beach for the first time. We went south this time and visited La Jolla cove. It was beautiful!!! The beach is very small but they have a seal wildlife preserve nearby and you can watch the seals from up above. I thought K would LOVE the beach...uh not so much! She didn't mind getting her feet in the water but anytime she got sand on her feet she started crying and saying "dirty". lol. poor little thing. How can you avoid sand on your feet at the beach? Needless to say, we didn't spend much time there! Then we headed over to Balboa park and had a picnic in the grass. We enjoyed the scenery and the walk too. It was a perfect day!
