In sickness and in health...and a lizard in the toilet.

Yesterday was our 5 year anniversary!!!! My mom baby-sat our little turkey so we could spend some time together :) We both have colds which kinda put a small damper on things, but we still had fun!

I was thinking back over the last 5 years and realized we have been through a lot!!! We lost our first home. We went through a separation. I lost my step-dad. Matt lost his best friend. I don't mention all this to dwell on the negatives...but to point out that God never left us through these times and either He patiently waited for us to come back to Him or to stop in our whirlwind of worries to just trust Him. And here we are going strong and have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, a beautiful home, and beautiful family and friends. I know that we will probably go through more stuff too, but I can see that we can make it through anything with God.

So I raise my cup full of Nyquil and toast to many more years together!!

Oh..ya the lizard! I don't know how, but a baby lizard found it's way into our guest bathroom toilet. I am SO thankful I didn't actually use it before I saw him haha...my step-mom visited today before we could get him out. She just assumed that he was another one our our pets and that we didn't have a cage for him so he lived in our toilet. I am not surprised she thought this since we have a new pet every time she visits!
