Long time no hear!

Hi!! I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything. I think that without my camera, I am lost! haha

Kaitlyn has been doing so many new things lately! She started sticking out her lower lip when she is sad, something that makes me laugh and tugs at my heart strings at the same time! She has started to roll on her side, which scares me because even though we do Tummy time, she tends to bury her face into what she is laying on and I have to rescue her. I know she can lift her head or turn it to the side but she still buries it for some reason. I am sure that by the time she rolls over completely, she will be able to lift herself up. She is grabbing things in her hand including my hair and she won't let go! I know that I can't complain since I should be putting my hair up or cutting it so I will suffer in silence. She grabs onto her clothes and her blankies and now she grabs her pacifier from her mouth and then gets mad that it is out. haha

She also went to church for the first time on Sunday!!! I was a little nervous about leaving her in the nursery but she was with 2 of her cousins so I felt a little better :) When I went to pick her up, she was napping! haha What a good babe :)

She really makes me laugh by how mad she gets when things aren't going her way. In the afternoons she tends to be on the cranky side so I push her around the house or in the backyard, in her little stroller. The other day I stopped just to look at her and say hi and she started crying. So I continued to push her and her crying stopped. I figured it was just because I had stopped the stroller so as I was pushing her, I spoke to her again to only make her cry again. I guess I am not allowed to talk to her when she is grumpy...hahaha. She looks incredibly uncomfortable but very much enjoys her little stroller and often falls asleep in it!

I never reported on Mother's day. Silly me had not realized it was Mother's day when I planned our Anniversary trip. So we ended up leaving our little baby on Mother's Day to go off and have fun :( But it was a much needed time together and Matt and I had a great time :) He also got me a 2 hour spa treatment that I CANNOT wait to use!!! It includes a facial, a 1 hr massage and some other goodies :) :) :)

Kaitlyn's schedule is still doing good. I am not as rigid as some books say to be and not as lax as others suggest. Being a new mother, I have read many different books, magazines, talked to people etc...and often find that almost everything/everybody contradicts what this book says or this person says. I decided to just take what I read and find some middle ground and what works best for our family as a whole. My sister always points out that God gave mothers a natural ability to take care of our children and I need to listen to those instincts. It is easy to get caught up in the "do's and don'ts" but I feel good with this and know that as long as my little girl is taken care of and loved, everything will work out!

Yay, an update! I've been wondering how things are going :) Ethan loves to be pushed around in his stroller too, that will always make him happy. You are right, there are many different opinions about parenting, and what works for some people doesn't work for others. I always say "whatever works for you is great".
