We had a much better time this night. I was worried because she had 2 good naps yesterday and I thought she might not want to sleep much at night. Plus, she has a hard time staying awake until 8:30, and is usually cranky and tired by 7 or so. However, I really want her to go to bed as late as possible as I won't get home until 6:30 (later if traffic is bad) when I go back to work and I can't imagine coming home and putting her to bed right away. So I tried very hard to keep her up as late as possible and I think 8 will work for us. She only cried for about 15 minutes this time and slept until 11. I am struggling with the idea of not feeding her still, so I got up at 12 and fed her. She downed 4 oz again so I am definately going to take my time weaning her off of that feeding. She went right back to sleep with out any fuss and woke back up at 3:30. I fed her again, but only 2 oz. I think that tonight I will only feed her 1 oz at this time and by the next night, cut out this feeding completely. I put her down and she stared at her mobile and layed there for awhile and then fell asleep on her own!!! She then woke up at 6, but I let her lay there until 7.
She is napping again at around the same time as yesterday so I hope this pattern keeps up as it is nice to have a break to get some cleaning done.
Putting her to bed at a decent time has really made me happy in the evenings!! Don't get me wrong! I LOVE spending time with my babe, but it has been so nice the last few evenings to be an adult again! I had the best time watching TV with Matt and I got to eat some snacks :) I can see that I should have started this schedule thing awhile ago!
We will see how it goes tonight! I am trying not to be a pessimist but a part of me thinks things won't go smoothly anymore!!!!

yay! Glad to hear it went better! Hopefully it will just keep getting better for you :)
Shelly!!!!!!!!! I am right there with you with the lack of sleep. They are so little but sooooooooo loud. Don't they know most people are sleeping at that time? haha.
I asked Jess but in case she doesn't see the message, which books did you borrow? I am trying to get info on which sleep training we are going to use as I think they are ready. They are getting up (read: screaming their head off) only to eat about an oz. or so.
I will be checking your blog to see progress. You can give me hope if it works out.
(One idea I have read, not sure if it is true...is that sleep creates more sleep. So, don't be afraid if she sleeps a lot in the day. It "shouldn't' keep her from sleeping at night. But then again mine are still waking every 3-4 hours so maybe I am wrong).
